How to read the one-line summary, where you stand among the 253, unusual answers, and the notes for each area

At the top of the result screen, the pattern in your answers appears in one line, with the four-area picture and the range for each area. The bar that stays at the top as you scroll has Summary, Four areas, Unusual answer, and Deep-dive reading; press one to jump to that part.
1. One-line summary and the four-area picture
The picture shows your average answer (1 to 7) in each area. A larger shape does not mean better or worse. For burden and loneliness, higher means you experience more of it. See Why this reading? below for the basis of the one-line summary.
2. Where you stand among the 253

We compare you with 253 employees who took part in the research (stratified random sampling) and show you a range. With 253 people, we show a range rather than an exact rank.
- Top 10% | Top 25%
- Above the middle | Below the middle
- Bottom 25%
You within the distribution marks your position on the score distribution of the 253 for each area. People who open your result from a shared link see only one area.
3. Items you answered differently from the 253

An item counts as an unusual answer when 20% or fewer of the 253 answered at the same end (1 to 2, or 6 to 7). Of 253 dots, as many light up as there were people who answered at the same end as you. The most unusual item appears here, and the rest are in the deep-dive reading. If you have no unusual answers, we tell you so.
4. Notes for each area

- The four areas are shown as four cards. Each card first shows the range, a note, What can help you, and What to look at.
- Press See details to open the area description and sources, The item that stood out, and the items used for that area.
How sources are shown
Notes end with the source they are based on. Suggestions without a published source are marked [Practical suggestion]. See the full list under Sources and references at the bottom.
5. Deep-dive reading

Press See the deep-dive reading below your result and it opens for free. If you are not signed in, Log in and save to your account appears below it. You can keep viewing it on this device without logging in. The deep-dive reading does not open for people who received your result as a link.
